Great shop, beautiful selection of jewelry and art. Staff is amazing. The piece that I picked had to be sized and they were able to get it for me before I had to leave Glen Arbor. I highly recommend checking out this shop. Amazing
Becky Thatcher is the ultimate jewelry artist in Michigan who is inspired by nature and organic form. I have been following her designs for years. I love her "Forest Floor" line and her "Petoskey Stone " line. She has an endangered species line too, specific to Michigan. I recognize the Karner blue butterfly in one of her designs in this series.Instead of casting the actual organic pieces that inspire her; Becky creates individual designs which are inspired by nature and what she sees. You can see "the hand of the artist" in each piece. When I finally started taking "metal smithing" courses ( the first step in learning how to make jewelry ) I began to understand the skill required to design and make each item. As I continue to take classes, I appreciate her designs even more. Each piece is a work of art which has timeless appeal. Most of us don't understand the skill and time required to make a piece of jewelry. And as the price of materials rise, the price to produce a piece goes up. I am only saying this because some folks might balk at the cost of each hand made piece. Don't hesitate! No, I don't know Becky Thatcher; I was simply visiting her studio/store in Glenn Arbor with friends this week. Debby was there to answer questions. I learned that each of her three stores offers more than what is shown online. If you see something online, it is worth calling one of the stores.

Beautiful work and excellent quality stones. However, the pieces are really overpriced even for such artistry. Some of the smaller stones set in silver are at least a third higher than would be expected. Nevertheless, if you just want a vacation memento, though overpriced, these are quality pieces.
I just love how Becky incorporates natural and organic elements into her designs! I was taken care of very well by BTD staff on my recent visit to the store
We had custom wedding rings made by Becky. Love her designs and she is a wonderful person. Highly recommend checking out her work. They are beautiful and very unique. We walked down the road and enjoyed an amazing view of Lake Michigan. Becky helps create lasting memories!!
